Intimate In Home Maternity
To my best friend...
Watching you step into motherhood has been an honor. I’m so proud of you. I watch how careful you are to show your excitement. Teetering on letting yourself be openly ecstatic about meeting him and quietly having a heart for everyone who struggles with the challenges that come with pregnancy and motherhood. Over the last few years I have watched you evolve, learn to set boundaries (even with me), and start to really step into the comfort of you. And I know this will be no different.
Your body has carried you and this little guy. You’re going to bring him into this world and your heart’s only going to expand. I see you doubt yourself some days but I hope you know that no one else does. You are strong. You are resilient. You are patient. You are kind. You are nurturing. You are soft. You are caring. You embody everything a mom should.
You’re going to give this little one a life full of adventure and love and I’m so stoked to there for it with you. This next season is going to be the best one yet! I love you!
I’m especially fond of maternity sessions. Especially in the comfort of your space. Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve done pregnancy 4 times and have no maternity photos to show for it. Maybe its the appreciation I have for our miraculous bodies and how we’re able to create human lives inside of our bellies. Or maybe it’s the love I know they’re about to experience. A love you didn’t know you were capable of feeling.
Sammy and Evan have been some of my closest friends for years. Watching their love unfold and being able to have a firsthand seat to it means the world to me. When Sammy and I first started talking about maternity photos we were brainstorming ideas and wanted an intimate indoor location. Their guest room has the warmest afternoon light and their front yard stays shaded all day and a major bonus that it’s Evans childhood home. And how special to know these sweet photos will always remind them of the place they brought their firstborn home to.
Motherhood is such a journey to navigate. And I’m always so honored to get to be the one to document your journey into it.
xoxo
